Start with the whole room
Grow room setup, crop schedule, canopy, and what the grow room HVAC already removes.
→
Follow the water
Plants push roughly 97% of irrigation back into the air. That is your moisture load, not your square footage.
→
Size for the hard weeks
Week-six flower, lights-off, the coldest air of the cycle. The nameplate never mentions those.
→
Let the AC come last
Cooling gets sized after dehumidification, because it mops up heat from everything else.

How we get the best pricing on grow room dehumidifiers for our commercial clients.
We don’t discount a machine. We price the whole grow room project: equipment plan, quantities, freight, rebates. The delivered total comes down, not just the number beside one unit.
Low overhead
We're a family-owned commercial team, not a conglomerate feeding a 50,000-square-foot warehouse. The overhead we don't carry comes out of your delivered price.
Freight optimization
Pallet configuration, shipment grouping, inventory location, quantity breaks. Freight is negotiable when somebody bothers to negotiate it. So we do, before the delivered price is final.
Rebate applications
Some utilities will pay you to run efficient dehumidification. But most programs require pre-approval before you buy. We check what your project qualifies for and handle the paperwork before the order goes in, not after.
Exclusive pricing
Long-standing industry relationships, proven commercial volume, and our ability to bring manufacturers serious projects unlock pricing that is not available anywhere else.
Single invoice pricing
Dehumidifiers, controls, ducting, and accessories priced as one commercial package on a single invoice with one payment. Fewer shipments, fewer vendors to chase, and no pile of disconnected line items.
“GTD didn’t just beat the unit prices. They rebuilt the package, optimized the freight, and brought our total project cost in 28% below the next complete quote.”
Pricing, sizing, freight rescues, damage claims, whole builds. This is what buying a grow room dehumidification system through us actually looks like.

Ask Elliott how to size a room, and you’ll hear the same five questions.
Most rooms are sized from square footage and a rule of thumb. These are the five factors that actually decide whether a dehumidification plan works.
Question 01
Are you sizing from irrigation, or square footage?
Square footage and plant count are the wrong inputs. Plants evapotranspire roughly 97% of the water you irrigate with, so nearly every gallon you put into the room has to be pulled back out of the air the same day.
97%of irrigation water ends up in the air
Question 02
Are you optimized for lights-off?
When the lights cut, the room cools fast, and cold air can't hold moisture, right as the AC's drying help disappears. Plan 25–30% extra capacity, sunset the lights, and pre-dry the room before lights-off.
Lights onLights off
Question 03
Are you reading the performance curve?
A 746-pint unit is rated at 80°F and 60% RH. In your coldest, driest week-eight air it removes far less. Size against the harshest conditions of the cycle and peak week-six irrigation, not the spec sheet.
80°F / 60%Week 8
Question 04
Are you optimized for failure?
Two big units lose half the room when one goes down. Five smaller units lose 20%, and they let you stage capacity up week by week through flower instead of short-cycling oversized machines in week one.

−20%
Question 05
Are you staging your electrical?
Give every unit its own humidistat at staggered set points so the compressors never in-rush together and trip a breaker. Run the highest voltage your panel allows, since doubling voltage halves the amps, and finalize dehumidification before AC, because the AC mops up everyone's heat load last.

All five factors come from one conversation.
The source interview
Watch Elliott work through the full sizing problem.
Every factor above comes from this conversation. You don’t have to watch it. We work through all of it for you when we price the room. But it’s here if you want to check our math on VPD, drain-to-waste, performance curves, staging, and the rest.
This may sound like a lot. It’s the work we handle for you. Bring what you know, we’ll carry the rest.
We provide practical equipment and sizing review, not stamped mechanical engineering, code compliance, construction, or on-site installation.
The Pizza Guarantee: if we can’t beat your best quote or improve your setup, we’ll send your team an extra-large pizza.
Proper dehumidification is not optional, it’s mandatory.
A flower room is weather in a box. Every gallon you irrigate comes back as air the room has to dry, the same day. Undersized dehumidification hides until week six of flower, when the canopy is thick, irrigation is peaking, and the room stops holding. Fix it on paper now, or fight it in the room later.
And if you’re fighting it right now, capacity running around the clock and the room still creeping, the fix usually isn’t another unit. It’s a real load number. Rated pints are measured at 80°F and 60% RH; your late-flower air is colder and drier, and every machine in the room delivers less there. Someone has to do that math against your actual conditions before more equipment makes sense.

Cost & canopyThe power bill and the flower
What humidity failure costs
Bud rot (Botrytis cinerea)
Starts deep inside the flower and spreads outward before you can see it. It thrives in cool, humid, still air, especially late in flower. By the time you spot brown, mushy buds and a musty smell, it is already too late. Humidity control is the only reliable defense.
RH above 85% creates ideal Botrytis conditions
Powdery mildew (Golovinomyces ambrosiae)
Spreads through airborne spores that land on leaves and flower through infected plants, contaminated equipment, or poor circulation. High humidity and stagnant air accelerate it. Once established, it is extremely difficult to eliminate without fixing the environment itself.
Surface humidity near 70% sharply raises fungal risk
What most growers get wrong about grow room temperature and humidity
Relative humidity is a ratio, not an amount. That one misunderstanding causes more sizing errors and crop losses than almost anything else in cultivation HVAC.
3×
VPD is what plants respond to
At the same 70% RH, vapor pressure deficit is nearly 3× higher at 90°F than at 60°F. Chasing an RH target alone means poor control of stress and transpiration.
60°F · 75% RH90°F · 42% RH
RH is relative to temperature
The same air reads a different percentage as the room warms and cools. A humidity number without a temperature next to it is meaningless.
Week 1RH targetWeek 8
The targets move through the grow
Every phase wants a different combination of humidity and temperature. Size the system for the hardest week of the cycle, not the average one.
The mistakes that cost growers the most
Most dehumidification plans blow up before a single unit ships, because capacity was calculated wrong or never calculated at all.
✕
Assuming the AC covers it
Air conditioning removes some moisture while it runs. At lights-off it stops entirely, right when the moisture load peaks.
Lights onLights off → drying = 0
✕
Shopping by nameplate
The number on the box is rated at ideal conditions. What matters is what the unit removes in your room’s coldest, driest week.

✕
Controlling RH instead of VPD
Plants respond to vapor pressure deficit, which includes temperature. An RH-only controller manages the wrong number.
✕
Buying hobby-grade units
Small residential dehumidifiers rarely perform to spec and fail early in commercial conditions. Commercial units or nothing.
✕
Resizing for LED, backwards
LEDs cut the heat, so the AC runs less and dries less. Same canopy, same water, more work for the dehumidifiers. Most operators find out in week six, not on the spec sheet.

We source everything.
Your grow is one system. Your equipment plan should be too: one commercial team for the entire grow room setup.
Your time belongs in the facility, not on hold with FedEx, calling ten suppliers, rebuilding quote spreadsheets, or emailing a different person every time something changes.

One named contact, so you know exactly who’s on your project. One coordinated quote. One payment path. One team that still picks up the phone after the money moves.
Stop price-shopping a dozen suppliers.
Send us the entire equipment list. We source it, price it, and coordinate the categories as one commercial project.
Stop rebuilding disconnected quotes and invoices.
Work through one commercial contact instead of tracking separate vendor emails, terms, and purchase paths.
Stop chasing freight carriers.
If a delivery goes missing or stalls, tell us. We call the carrier, wait on hold, follow the support thread, and keep your project updated.
Stop fighting manufacturer support alone.
When eligible equipment arrives damaged or has a covered issue, we help pursue the manufacturer process and replacement path.
Stop leaving rebate work until the end.
We check potentially applicable programs and help coordinate the paperwork path when the project qualifies.

Before you wire five figures to anyone, vet them. Us included.
Commercial cultivation equipment is a freight business full of pretty websites, and the storefront tells you nothing about what happens after payment clears. Four checks, ten minutes, before any large order, with us or anyone else.
Read their reviews where they can’t curate them.
Search the vendor’s name on Trustpilot and the BBB, not the review widget on their own site. Read the one-star reviews, and watch how the company responds when a freight shipment goes sideways. That response is the product you’re actually buying.
Ask what happens when a unit arrives damaged.
The answer you’re listening for is a person who owns it. If the store points at the manufacturer and the manufacturer points at the store, you’re the one on hold, with a crop on the clock.
Get the delivered price in writing before payment.
Freight “quoted after purchase” is the oldest move in this category. A real commercial quote states the full delivered number before your card comes out: equipment, freight, everything. And it doesn’t change after.
Ask for a name.
If nobody owns your order, nobody owns your problem. Before you buy, you should know exactly who answers when you call. And when your gear ships, they should be the one calling you.
Run all four on us. Start with our public reviews, then send us the room.
Commercial financing for grow room system buildouts
Financing up to $500,000 for new build-outs.
Through our commercial financing partners, qualified projects can finance up to $500,000 in equipment: new build-outs, retrofits, and expansions. Ask for financing options when you price your room and we’ll include them with the quote.
Yes. There is no cost or obligation for the review or the quote. We earn the business only if you decide the recommendation, pricing, and service make sense for your project.
What if I already know exactly which units I need, don’t want a call, and just want a quote?
Perfect. Choose “Just send me a quote” and you’ll get a clean delivered quote by email, no call. We contact you only if an essential detail is missing, and if the sizing math flags something worth knowing, we’ll note it in the same email. What you do with it is your call.
What size dehumidifier does my grow room need, and how many?
That is exactly what we figure out. New build or retrofit, tell us what you know about the room and we work through the sizing with you. “Not sure” is an acceptable answer to every technical question.
Can you beat a grow room dehumidifier quote I already have?
Send it over. We review the sizing, the equipment path, and the delivered price against it. That's the quote the pizza rides on.
Do you push Quest, Anden, or one brand?
No. We carry the major commercial brands and recommend against the room, not toward a brand. Sometimes the right answer is a smaller or less expensive path.
Do you check rebates?
Yes. We check potentially applicable programs and handle the research and coordination work. Eligibility is project-specific.
What happens after I submit?
A commercial team member reviews what you sent, and you get a response that matches the preference you chose: a quote by email or a scheduled project review.
How quickly will you respond?
Typically within one to two hours at most, and most likely within a few minutes.
What happens if freight or equipment has a problem?
Tell us. We call the carrier or the manufacturer, follow the support thread, and keep you updated until it is resolved. You will not be bounced between the store and the manufacturer.
Who will I actually be working with?
Elliott Gorfain, assuming your project qualifies. Meet Elliott.
Is commercial financing available?
Yes. Through our financing partners, qualified projects can finance up to $500,000 in equipment: new build-outs, retrofits, and expansions. Ask for options when you request your quote.
Can you work with my electrician or HVAC contractor?
Yes. We put the equipment plan in terms your electrician and HVAC contractor can act on: voltage, connected load, drainage, placement. And we'll talk to them directly if that's easier.
Do you do grow room HVAC design or installation?
No. We provide practical equipment and sizing review, not stamped mechanical engineering, code compliance, construction, or on-site installation.
Tell us about the room. We’ll figure out the rest.
New build or retrofit, send what you have: room dimensions, daily water, the quote you’re comparing. Ballpark is fine. Choose a quote by email or a project review, and we only ask for what changes the recommendation.
A commercial team member reads your submission the same business day.
You get exactly the response you chose: an emailed quote or a scheduled review.
Qualified projects are reviewed by Elliott before any recommendation goes out.
