What Type of Material is the Mont Greenhouse Made Of?

The Mont Greenhouse is fabricated from superior quality extruded aluminum (US grade - avoiding the thinner and more brittle foreign aluminum) and is coated with electrostatic paint in Black (assuredly containing 0.0% lead). On average, our greenhouse employs over 40 lbs. more aluminum than the typical imported greenhouse.

A weaker structure cannot sustain much snow in winter before it collapses, and it is more susceptible to wind damage.

In contrast to many hobby greenhouses on the market that use cheaper and thinner walls and roofing materials (with walls as thin as .2mm), the Mont employs a professional grade 8mm twin-wall polycarbonate.

This thickness is the industry standard for commercial greenhouses. The twin-wall polycarbonate functions like a double-pane window, trapping cool air during warmer months and insulating the greenhouse from cold air in winter.

This feature not only enables the Mont to maintain a longer growing season than other greenhouses, but it also enhances the overall growth efficiency, reducing electric bills for year-round cultivators.

With a peak height of 7 ft. 6 in., the Mont's above-average interior height facilitates heat displacement within the greenhouse while accommodating even the tallest of gardeners without necessitating them to stoop inside the greenhouse.

How will I receive my greenhouse?

The greenhouse is delivered in an unassembled state. Each kit includes comprehensive written instructions and diagrams.

How should I prepare the site for my greenhouse?

Preparation for your Greenhouse is minimal. It can be positioned on any level surface such as your lawn, bare soil, a gravel base, a wooden deck, a concrete slab, or a brick patio.

We suggest a gravel base and 100% hemp barrier for optimal drainage. For maximum sun exposure, a south-facing area is preferable.
